This garden marks the site of / the first church and churchyard / of St. Mary in the Woodlands. / The garden was made in proud / and loving memory of / David Angier / Royal Air Force, / who left the adjacent house, / his home, on 12th February 1945 / and was killed in action / in Germany two days later, / in his 21st year.
